This article addresses:
1. Sunday services
2. Recovery meetings

SUNDAY SERVICES
Bishop Bruce R. Ough is asking congregations to suspend in-person worship until at least May 10th in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and related health agency and governmental guidelines. He points out that regardless of what is happening in our world on April 12, Easter cannot be canceled. “We may not be able to gather in our glorious Easter celebrations in our lily-decorated sanctuaries, but Easter cannot be canceled,” he said. “The resurrection cannot be stopped or delayed or defeated!”

RECOVERY MEETINGS
The Recovery Church building will be available and open to all weekly group meetings held in this space. It will be up to the individual leaders of each group to determine whether the group will meet or not. Please bring disinfectant wipes and wipe down spaces after use.

As always, we are in this together. We seek to be part of the solution and part of the healing.
Please call, text, write and support one another at this time. Find new ways to reach out in love. If you need to talk to someone one-on-one, volunteers are available.

Last-Friday's Sing-a-long

So,  what does it look like to incorporate "Social Distancing" into a recording session that is intended to extend the love of music to TRC members who cannot currently gather as community?
At some personal risk, a few of us gathered today to record music to share with the community we love, who cannot be together.

We share these images (songs coming) in hopes that people will seek out the recordings in order to receive the love of our community and God in a special way.  Just a thought.

Be safe and take care!!!

When the World Stopped -Donna Ashworth

History will remember when the world stopped
And the flights stayed on the ground.
And the cars parked in the street.
And the trains didn’t run.

History will remember when the schools closed
And the children stayed indoors
And the medical staff walked towards the fire
And they didn’t run.

History will remember when the people sang
On their balconies, in isolation
But so very much together
In courage and song.

History will remember when the people fought
For their old and their weak
Protected the vulnerable
By doing nothing at all.

History will remember when the virus left
And the houses opened
And the people came out
And hugged and kissed
And started again

Kinder than before.

The Recovery Church brings back guitarist Billy McLaughlin
September 19 at 7pm

The Recovery Church is thrilled to bring back the world-class acoustic guitarist Billy McLaughlin in an open-to-the-public concert on September 19th.
A Minnesota native, Billy McLaughlin has been changing the world’s ideas of what an acoustic guitar can sound like since the 1980’s.

The Recovery Church (TRC) provides a safe haven for individuals and their families who deal with various levels of addiction. The mission is to provide a spiritual community for those seeking growth, healing, and recovery.

Events like this allow TRC to provide meals, host over 20 recovery meetings each month, offer fellowship programs, and provide a slightly less-than-traditional Sunday worship where all are welcome; none are broken.

Tickets are $30 and available online or at the door the evening of the event.
