A Note from Jo .... (September Issue)
Homecoming is this month! September 12 is a date to put on your calendars and come to church for a special day.
I remember what it was like to go back to some of the homecomings in my life. Often it was a time to see old friends and celebrate good times.
It can be the same for us at The Recovery Church. If you haven’t been around for a while make September 12 a day to worship and celebrate how the church has been meaningful for you in the past. We will have special food, differing kinds of music and an auction to create some special interest.
An added bonus will be the time when we open the last capsule that was in the cornerstone of the old church. A few of the old-timers from the Jackson Street congregation will be here to share memories and hopes for the future. It will be a blast so put it on your calendar and plan for a fun morning and early afternoon at The Recovery Church Homecoming... September 12 during and after the worship services.
